Record Store Day Singapore

Record Store Day Singapore is an officially registered entity with ACRA. It's also an organisation aimed at promoting physical released music from mainly Singapore music. All physical releases are exclusive only for Record Store Day Singapore.

We are encouraged to introduce this movement and amplifying local music on the physical format specifically on RSD Singapore special date . The normal RSD from the west, though celebrated around the world , already have exclusives from mainly mainstream artists, predominantly from the west . So something is missing here.

There is no specific day for local releases. With the collaboration from independent and underground artists, musicians and labels, record stores and the music fraternity, we hope to push the music scene locally beyond what it is today. With buying physical release, you are directly supporting the people who invest in local music.

All exclusive releases will bear the official RSD Singapore sticker on their album or single. We welcome submissions for this movement starting November every year. Vinyl, cd and cassettes are accepted submissions. Other physical releases can be accepted pending review. Let's talk.

It's time for music to feel alive again. Let's celebrate local music physical releases in one special day.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Greetings everyone.
Welcome to Record Store Day SIngapore or R.S.D SG.

Below are the rules and regulations of this organisation. The logo is created and belongs to Mosta Records. Any duplication are not allowed without the express licensing of it.
Our decisions are final.

Submissions rules varied every year depending on the date of Record Store Day Singapore. We do not necessarily follow the worldwide celebrations as we want this to be focus on local releases.
Failure to comply with our rules will mean automatic disqualification.

Important Note

Every applicant have to do their own part to promote to record stores of their releases. We will try to accomodate as many submissions as we can, but you must be aware of the demand of your releases. We will do our part in promoting to local physical shops. We will try to accept as many submissions as possible, but within reason. Physical shops need to approach us if you want to participate. All information on dates of application will be disseminated through our social media platforms. We invite gig and music festival otganisers, big or small to participate in Record Store Day Singapore. All the rules and regulation applies to all applicants.

Rules

1) All submissions for 2027 will start on 1st August 2026- 14 November 2026. This will give time for your planning. All submissions will be made to mailbox@mostarecordslp.com.
All submissions must include a deck or description of the release, artwork , links for promotional purposes.

2) Artist, musicians , bands and labels are responsible for the manufacturing of your physical media.

3) The commitee will select the submisssions based on probablility of demand and most importantly, the arrival of all physical media that is made by the artists, musicians, bands or labels by March at the latest. So every applicant must be aware of this. Failure to do so will make the official list , not official. So make sure when you submit your application that you know you will have your releases in your hand before 1st April.

4) For the applicants already have physical media on hand and want to release on R.S.D SG, you are welcome to apply too.

5) All successful applicants will pay the for the Official Record Store Day Singapore Sticker based on the quantities you need.

6) You need to pay for the extra stickers if required to be printed after the actual day. So choose wisely

7) The Official Stickers for R.S.D SG are important to bring legitimacy to this initiative , so please treat it with the respect that we will afford to you as artists, musicians , bands and labels.

8) If the submissions for R.S.D SG are overwhelming, or the physical media might have a delay in their manufacturing for successful applicants , we will do another round of the Official R.S.D SG for the applicants on Side A , A Singapore Record Show event in the same year

9) There will be no physical duplication of the Record Store Day Singapore logo. Action will be taken if anyone failed to comply.

10) All releases under the Official R.S.D SG will only be sold at physical shops on the actual Record Store Day Singapore date that will be choose by the organisation.

11) All official stickers will be emblazoned by the official logo and date of the event.

12) All successful applying stores are required to have a poster of the logo for R.S.D SG on the actual Record Store Day Singapore on the actual date of the celebration

13) If any gig organiser, music festivals that want to participate , as long the official R.S.D SG releases are sold at your event, you can contact us. We view your event as physical location where the official releases are sold. You are required to apply for the licensing for our official logo .

These plans are a long time coming. We think it is necessary to have a day where physical copies of local music to be in the limelight. This is a Singapore initiative and organisation, period. With an official stamp from an organisation that is geared to bring local music in the physical medium to the fore it would made it special.
It's time. The time for us to celebrate Singapore talents from all genres, from the underground scene to the independent scene. Or well , even if you mainstream independent scene want in? And as mention, gig or music festival in Singapore big or small are welcome too.
